The Social Media Christmas
With the advent of new technology, the way you communicate with your customers has changed a lot and as a result you have to find ways in engaging with your customers differently.
New mobile phones, tablets and social media, have made everything more easily accessible. So you are only as good as your competitor by the way of differentiation.
Let’s look at some of the things you can do on social media that will help you in engaging more with your clients:
Use Visual Elements: In the spirit of Christmas, don’t just think decorating your shop or sending an email with a holiday card is enough. Use the holiday season as an opportunity to brand your social media, website and any other online material with some holiday spirit. Do you send out a newsletter? If so add some Christmas related images and get people in the spirit of the holidays
Arrange Competitions: Now when you are thinking of your visual elements, combine that with a competition. Ask your followers to tweet, share, like your product and randomly pick someone’s name and give them something for free.
Christmas Card Competition: To get your audience members more involved, ask then to draw, sketch, paint or craft a Christmas card and share on the social media platform of your choice. Choose the best ones and post it and showcase the work on the website.
Promotional Codes: If you sell a product, why not release a series of promotional codes on your social media platforms to be redeemed on your website. All those people who follow you encourage them to share/retweet the offer to spread the holiday spirit.
Custom Hashtags: Create hashtags for your campaign as they are very useful on all social media platforms (except LinkedIn). Ask your followers to tweet with a hashtag for a chance to win a free gift. This will help you build a following and spread your message beyond your current circle.
Hopefully you will find some of these tips useful and use them in your Christmas Marketing Campaign. Do you have any ideas that you have used in past that worked really well? If so, share with us.
