Should your business still be using email newsletters?

In my personal experience email newsletters are quite an effective marketing tool. However before I started at Appletree I had my doubts on whether or not newsletters still had a place in the marketing world. After spending some time learning more about newsletters and seeing how many businesses still use them (and the results they achieve) I am without a doubt a convert.

Why should you use an email newsletter service? Newsletters are a great way of keeping in contact with your previous and current clients. Why do you need to keep in contact with any of your clients? You are reminding your clients of the services and products you offer so that when the reader next needs said service or product…they come to you. Remember when writing your newsletter write it to appeal to multiple audiences – prospects and customers.

Newsletters are also a brilliant way of getting people to your website. By including links in your newsletter and teaser content you are encouraging the reader to visit your website. Once on your website, the user will then explore the rest of what your website has to offer. Newsletters are also really good for SEO because they contain links to your website – and Google likes relevant links to your website.

On Friday Debbie will be talking to you in more detail about email newsletters, so make sure you have a read as Debbie will talk to you about some of results that email newsletters can bring to your business. If you have any questions about email newsletters then please leave comments below or send me an email.
