Promote your passion on video
On Monday I spent a very entertaining afternoon with Microsoft in Reading helping them to film a number of staff saying what they like about the new Office 2010 that?s being launched later this year.
Some of them were quite nervous and said they hadn?t prepared anything. I asked them some questions about their new software ? what they like about it, how it helps them ? and then we filmed the answers they gave. We did a dry run so I could give them some advice on improving their performance ? like taking their hands out of their pockets, not rocking back and forth and being natural and enthusiastic rather than worrying about getting it right. Then we filmed them answering the question I asked. The clips will be used in Microsoft?s newsletters and on their websites in the run up to the launch of Office 2010.
If you?re passionate about what you do, tell people what makes you passionate about it. Your enthusiasm will be infectious and your words will be much more compelling than any sales script that you could write. How could you use video clips of you and your staff to help sell your products and services? How could you use them to tell people more about what you do?
