Grow your business by buying another one

Chantal

After a few months of having to keep very quiet about our latest business venture, I’m finally able to share the news with you. From 1 September 2010, Appletree will take over the running of a local business networking group in Oxford, called Ladies that Lunch (and men too!)

I joined Ladies that Lunch back in 2004, when it was first set up and I was a member for a couple of years. I always enjoyed being a member and it really helped me to grow my business.

In February last year, the owner of the network asked my company to help her to grow it. We came up with a number of ideas to entice new members into the group and started sending out a more regular email newslettter. We got some help with finding great speakers and arranged the ?big? meeting at Blenheim in June. By the end of 2009 the group was really buzzing!

The owner has now decided to move on to pastures new and I?m delighted to let you know that we’re arranged to take over. What does the future hold for Ladies that Lunch? We?ve got some exciting ideas about setting up additional groups in different venues and counties next year, so our members can network more widely. We?ll also be looking at running workshops and seminars before and after meetings, on topics that will help members develop  your business.

The next meeting is on 27 July 2010 and our first meeting ‘at the helm’ will be on 28 September 2010. If you’re in the area and you’ve not tried out Ladies that Lunch, then come and join us for a great really networking lunch. You can book online at www.LadiesThatLunch.co.uk. We look forward to seeing you there!
