Content is King!
In my quest to tell the world about content marketing, I recently came across a useful chart which shows just how good it is (and that it’s not just me obsessing about it!) This graph illustrates just how effective content marketing is.
What it also shows though, is why not a lot of people are using it – it’s difficult to do! Not only have you got to write good quality, relevant content about your product or service, but you’ve got to do it regularly. Here’s just a few of the benefits of having a content marketing strategy for your business.
- SEO benefits (how will people be able to find you online if you’re not even there?)
- Reputation (you need to build one somehow)
- Thought leadership (you need to distinguish yourself from the competitors – and fast)
- You need multiple touch points frequently to reach your target audience.
Remember, instead of writing about what you do, focus on your customers. The key to B2B marketing innovation is focusing more on the stories of your customers, and less on your service offering.
