Are You Growing Your Marketing Message?

Why is it so easy to get marketing wrong? To spend money and not get the results we want? To waste time and effort, without getting our message across?

Could it be because we don’t send out the right message, with the language that reaches our prospects on an emotional level, on a consistent basis? That we keep mixing up the messages and confusing our prospects? Confused prospects don’t buy.

I used to think that clients booked me to work with them because they wanted to really grow their businesses – the StandOut Strategy that I call Growth. It turns out that they actually work with me because of Certainty, which you can read about here.

There’s a huge difference in the language of ‘grow your business’ (Growth) to ‘let me look after you’ (Certainty). This is the difference that we need to understand, if we’re going to truly speak the language of our clients. To use words, emotions and feeling that really resonate with them.

In this blog I’ll share with you my latest favourite example of Growth. I hope you enjoy it.

 

Are You Growing Your Marketing Message?

I met Tara at a local networking event. She said she was looking for some marketing support, so we met up and hit it off. At our very first meeting, I helped Tara to Take the Test that I use, to help people identify which of the five StandOut Strategies is the one that will make their business stand out. Tara came out tops for Growth. This strategy is all about helping your clients to grow – either themselves or their businesses, or even both. It’s when your clients want to feel challenged, educated and empowered. They want to feel a sense of excitement in what’s possible for them, working with someone who will help them develop their imagination. They need people to motivate them and stretch them. This is exactly what Tara does. She told me that, quite often, people sign up to work with her – on one of her courses or events – without really knowing why. She now knows why and it’s because of the language she uses in her marketing.

We’ve been working on Tara’s LinkedIn profile, specifically to weave in more of the emotional language that will really resonate with her ideal clients. Here’s what her lovely new LinkedIn profile says:

“As an intuition teacher and inner growth facilitator, I challenge women to reconnect with their authentic selves. I show them how to find the courage to embrace a life aligned with their intuition, natural rhythms and senses. Through animal wisdom, I inspire clients to quiet their minds, awaken their senses and tap into a profound source of self-awareness and empowerment.

I integrate the essence of my experience into my work, creating a safe space for clients to explore their intuition and deepen their self-awareness, while stretching my clients. Whether overcoming stress, self-doubt, or life’s obstacles, I motivate clients transform their paths toward a more authentic, joyful life.

I’m passionate about providing tools and insights that help people build a harmonious relationship with themselves, bringing them the freedom for which they are searching.”

Notice the words in purple? They are the specific, emotional words that go with the StandOut Strategy of Growth. They are the ones that, if you’re looking for growth, will really jump off the page at you. And if you are, and if they do, please do get in touch with Tara!
