Why Promotional Stuff Really Does Work

2015-04-07 09.14.07A little while ago I wrote a blog about the new key ring I was given by a garage when they mended the exhaust on my old car. (Click here to read that post.)

I was impressed with their thinking behind putting a branded key ring onto my car key, with their phone number on. It’s a simple marketing tactic that should encourage customers to go back the next time they need a new exhaust.

The next month my husband came home complaining that the exhaust had failed on his car. Guess who we called first, for a quote? I gave him my car key, so he didn’t even have to search out the phone number. The next day, he ordered the part and took the car in to be repaired. Job done.

What can you put your name on? Can you put mugs with your logo on into the kitchen if you’re in a serviced office building? Could you put your number onto your car or van? (If you do, make sure you drive nicely!) How about giving out USB sticks with your website address on?

Get creative to help your customers remember you and keep coming back.
