Have you written a book?

Have you ever considered writing down your experiences and expertise? Advertising your expertise and experience in the medium of a book can be a help your brand to gain more value and your business to gain more clients. So what are some of the benefits?

  • Being a published author could gain you instant credibility with your target audience. If you wrote a book based around photography and how to take the best snaps, then your audience will grant you the title of professional photographer.
  • Gain extra revenue for your business. Granted your new book isn’t going to bring millions through the door, however the sale of the book is still money to your business. The person reading the book might also be so impressed with your knowledge that they take you on and hire your services or buy your product.
  • You can use snippets of your book to update your website or post a fresh social media update. The book can be rich source of information for not only your clients but for your business.

One of the big concerns when writing a book is the cost (and of course finding the time to write the book). A piece of advice I can give you is once you’ve written your book and had it professionally proof read, sell it as an E-book. Selling your book as an E-book will save you costs in printing (which can be very costly) and you only get a limited amount of books – depending on how much you spend.  Selling your book as an E-book means lower overheads and therefore a lower price to your audience. With this lower price your book has a better chance to sell more copies. You may be little sceptical selling it as E-book but I assure you, with more and more people using iPads, Kindles and other mediums that can E-books are available to, people are buying and reading more books.

If you’re thinking of writing a book then have a look on our website for some tips and advice. Alternatively you can have a listen to a teleseminar that we hosted, all about how to write your first book. If you would like to learn how to professionally promote it contact us.
